Notre ami Andràz Mihelin a son blog !!
J'avais donné ici quelques nouvelles de notre ami Andràz Mihelin lors de son passage en Charentes Maritimes pour la Transat 6.50 .. http://www.alfavendee.com/archive/2007/09/18/quelques-nou... .. "A good performance for Hajnšek and Mihelin in the first quarter of second leg
Both Slovenians Kristian Hajnšek onboard Adria Mobil 509 and Andraž Mihelin onboard Adria Mobil 510 are showing a good performance in the first quarter of the second leg of this years Transat 6.50.
After a sceond accident at the start of the second leg Andraž Mihelin started the race alomst 5 hours behind the fleet. In the next days he regrouped, caught and overtook most of the fleet. At one point he was ranked eighth! Yesterday his performance was a bit compromised (most likely due to exhaustion) and he is currently in 23rd position. From start on Kristian Hajnšek took charge of his sailing. He was forth the first day, than he dropped a few places but today he was back in 7th position, placed the furthest of all minis in the west. Team weather router Jure Jerman from Environmental Agency of Slovenia says this of his position: »For now Kristian is sticking exactly to the plan and things are looking up for him.
It is possible he will gain some places during the day as he can sail directly towards the agreed waypoint in the Cap Verdes. Also he will have a good starting point for the next part because there will be more wind in the west. Andraž is doing worse than yesterday but it seems he is also making his way through to the west before passing the Cap Verdes. The eastern part of the fleet will have less wind and a more important factor is becoming the angle of sailing.«
The difficult wind conditions in the past few days have had some serious consequences for the skippers. Andrea Carraci was dismasted today, while even more disturbing is the news of Isabelle Joschke (winner of leg one). Yesterday night she turned her boat back to the Canary Islands which almost imediatelly resulted in the speculations of her abandonement of the race. This was followed by the news that Isa had broken the swivel of her bowsprit (without that she has no use of the spinakers). This morning it was obvious that Isabelle has changed course again indicating that she plans on fixing the problem in the Cap Verdes. Ana Lukanc

Quelques nouvelles des voiles slovènes ...
ça se passe en ce moment .. à La Rochelle .. et Fabrice est notre témoin : " Transat 6.50 starts
At tonight's skippers briefing the decision was made to give a green light to start the Transat 6.50, Tuesday September 18th at 12.30 p.m.
The start was postopned from Sunday due to a high pressure system in Key Biscay, which would approach the minis on Tuesday (had they started on Sunday) with winds as strong as 40 knots and more in gusts. During this waiting period the weather has stabilised and the 89 minis will be leaving La Rochelle tomorrow. The latest weather forcast from Jure Jerman of the Environmental Agency of Slovenia: »At the start of the race they will have 20 knots of N wind, which will steady by Tuesday evening and on Wednesday it will turn to E. Approaching Finisterre it will be about 15 knots. The fastest route towards Finisterre will be almost identical to the rhumb line. First of the minis will be passing Finisterre by Thursday night. In the second part of leg one it will be mostly downwind sailing for the fleet, so they should be in Madeira fast, approximately after 6 days for the leaders«.
Andraž Mihelin and Kristian Hajnšek feel good about themselves and about their boats Adria Mobil 510 and 509. The night before the race they did the latest meteo briefing with Jure and they discussed the weather tactics for the next few days. "

Alfa Romeo et la voile .. ça continue en Vendée
Hier, avant de partir pour Paris, j'ai eu l'heureuse visite d'Andraz Mihelin (Slovénie)... qui a fini second lors de la transatlantique Mini "les Sables - Les Açores - Les Sables en Août dernier sur son bateau 510 " Adria Mobil Too " aux couleurs d'Alfa Romeo ..

Alfa Test Drive Tour 2006 .. Alfa Vendée .. et la Slovénie !!
Incroyable .. outre nos deux bateaux marqués Alfa Romeo, sur le même ponton, les visiteurs les plus curieux ont pu en découvrir un autre .. celui de .. toujours sur le quai de Port Olonna !! Le bateau 510 " Adria Mobil Too " d'Andraz Mihelin (Slovénie)... qui a fini second lors de la transatlantique Mini "les Sables - Les Açores - Les Sables en Août dernier !! Dommage qu'on n'ait pas pu le croiser ;-))

Hier .. beau temps sur la côte vendéenne ..
Hier, il faisait beau .. aux Sables d'Olonne .. et pendant que je concluais une réunion .. vendéenne 
.. sur un superbe bateau .. que j'admirais sur l'eau le catamaran d'Eric Dumont lui même en balade 
... Andraz Mihelin, notre slovène sur Alfa Romeo finissait 3ème de la Mini Les sables - Les Açores - Les Sables .. Eh oui, tout cela en une seule journée .. aux Sables d'Olonne !!

Les Sables - les Açores ... et Alfa Romeo !!
Le 30 juillet dernier, c'était, aux sables d'Olonne le départ de la transatlantique Mini "les Sables - Les Açores - Les Sables " voir mon post sur le lien suivant http://www.alfavendee.com/archive/2006/07/28/les-sables-d-olonne-les-acores.html ... Le Mardi 15 août sera la date du départ de Horta aux Açores vers les Sables d’Olonne .. et c'est à partir du 24 août que les premiers arriveront, et ce jusqu’au 26 août. Le Dimanche 27 août = Remise des prix aux Sables d’Olonne... 
Et de forte chance qu'on soit présents .. car devinez qui se classe actuellement second : le bateau 510 " Adria Mobil Too " dont le skipper s'appelle Andraz Mihelin , né le 31 octobre 1973 à Ljubjana (Slovénie)... Il est arrivé le 07/08/2006 à 10:15:15 (07j 23h 05min 15s) .. Et qu'a ce bateau de si particulier ???? Il est en autres sponsorisé par ... ALFA ROMEO !!! Imaginez la slovénie "italienne" sur un podium vendéen ;-))
